InfoPath Forms Services is like one of those hidden gems in SharePoint Server 2007 (SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise Edition only). It still is a little rough on the edges but if you know it's limitations and take a look at some good documentation it will get you going quite quickly. Useful information here.Recently I found a freeware - new forms building engine. It is called iTechnology Forms Accelerator. With this product forms are created easily and published in one click. So it is one alternative for developing custom forms.
